Square collection of beautiful photos

My first HDR that I'm not disgusted with. HDR is High Dynamic Range which refers to the range of lightness in this photo, which is much higher than any camera can possibly capture in one photograph.
Don't know what was going on with my ISO speed... Shot five exposures at 2EV increments, processed with Photomatix and Photoshop. 09/26/09 :: Updated with overall crisper definition and exposure/halo correction at the tops of the trees, which was bothering me a lot. Taken at Gillette Castle, Connecticut, USA. CommentsI like how the sky has an "ominous" look to it, but the plants all look very peaceful

I spent an hour and a half at that place yesterday and only took four pictures but I have a feeling the other three will be just as good and one of them much better. When you spend a lot of time on a shot and put the thought into it, it shows I think. Glad you like it, thank you! |

I love the way that the wall divides the picture up into water with lilies and grass, and the tones of the green are very vivacious and interesting.
I do however feel that the shot is a little bit too noisy, and some clarity has been lost because of this.
I also notice that there are flowers on the lillies and it would have been nice to see those being brought out a little more as the reds and pinks coming from them may have just given the shot that little bit of extra wow factor.
All in all this is a great shot! Well done you!
